OUR APPROACH, CONTINUED...

We've managed the acquisition of over 5,000 properties and learned a few things along the way.

RIGHT OF WAY CAN TORPEDO YOUR PROJECT; WE CAN HELP YOU PLAN AHEAD!

If we've given one piece of advice to clients over the last several years it's to start evaluating any potential right of way issues as early in the design process as possible.  Unsustainable budgets because of outdated, inaccurate cost estimates; costly schedule delays; avoidable cost overruns and other problems can often be avoided by a well-trained project manager that knows what questions to ask.  We'll ask lots of them when you hire us, promise.

DBE PARTNERSHIPS ARE AT THE CORE OF OUR BUSINESS

We take diversity and partnering with the disadvantaged business community seriously.  As such, we strive to have up to 40% DBE of our total right of way budget be DBE qualified through subconsultant teaming partners.  Some of our managers are on their third decade working WSDOT projects and we've developed some relationships along the way.

QA/QC NEEDS A RESURGENCE IN
THE INDUSTRY

Documents going out with wrong tax numbers, outdated vesting on conveyance documents, the errors can be many.  In our experience it is all too common to assume "good" project managers can simply wing it and deliver good projects without proper controls and systems in place.  This is a mistake.  We believe project delivery is not just a program delivered by talented people, but a well thought-through process with checks and balances to ensure that even the most talented are protected from their own (and others) mistakes.

KEEPING THE
PUBLIC TRUST

Public works projects are investments in everyone's future, this is part of what makes the A/E industry in the public works sector meaningful.  We consider ourselves privileged to be a part of that process and take our fiduciary responsibility seriously.  As such, we've developed management systems to avoid costly change orders and the mismanagement of resources.
