Unsustainable budgets because of outdated, inaccurate cost estimates; costly schedule delays; avoidable cost overruns and other problems can often be avoided by a well-trained project manager that knows what questions to ask. Documents going out with wrong tax numbers, outdated vesting on conveyance documents, the errors can be many. In our experience it is all too common to assume "good" project managers can simply wing it and deliver good projects without proper controls and systems in place. This is a mistake. We believe project delivery is not just a program delivered by talented people, but a well thought-through process with checks and balances to ensure that even the most talented are protected from their own (and others) mistakes.
