Who We Are

Founded in 2017, Commonstreet Consulting is one of the fastest-growing right of way (ROW) firms, specializing in turn-key ROW program management for federal, state, county, and city infrastructure projects. With a headquarters in Seattle, Washington, and Salem, Oregon—and expanding operations across the Western United States - we deliver full-service real estate services that keep public projects on schedule, in compliance, and within budget.

Our collaborative approach brings client managers, attorneys, appraisers, and engineers together to seamlessly integrate ROW into design and construction timelines. Backed by experienced project managers and locally rooted ROW agents, we prioritize clear communication, community respect, and practical results. Commonstreet combines deep technical expertise with genuine True Program Partner values—helping agencies move projects forward with confidence and care.

True Program Partner & Landing Place
At Commonstreet, we live by two guiding values: being a True Program Partner and being a Landing Place for the best right of way professionals in the industry.
As a True Program Partner, we do more than manage tasks—we come alongside our client with collaboration and accountability in our approach. We anticipate challenges before they arise, protect schedules, lead and advise with insight, and ensure landowners and clients feel well-informed and respected at every step. Our approach blends strategic thinking with genuine care, so projects move forward smoothly and responsibly.

As a Landing Place for professionals, we nurture a supportive, inclusive environment where top talent thrives. By valuing people as much as performance, we attract and retain the best-of-the-best in consultative agents to administrative professionals who are as committed to our clients’ success as they are.

Homelessness Response
Commonstreet stands apart in the right of way industry through our one-of-a-kind homelessness response and outreach program developed to support agencies in accessing public and privately owned land occupied by individuals experiencing homelessness. Our unique approach—adopted as a model by state DOTs and recognized nationally—balances project needs with compassion and respect, accountability, and genuine support to unhoused people. We manage every step, from encampment clearing and hazardous cleanup to site hardening, vegetation management, ongoing monitoring, and prevention of repopulation, ensuring humane and effective outcomes for all involved.

Property Management
Commonstreet’s property management team brings unmatched expertise in supporting DOT and local agency programs that involve state or public owned properties. With former WSDOT Property Management Program Managers on staff, and experienced agents, we combine deep regulatory knowledge with a practical, results-driven approach. Our team delivers efficient, compliant, and strategic lease management for properties acquired for highways, transportation, and critical infrastructure—covering displacee, ground, commercial, trail, airspace, wireless leases, and other. Simply put, we help agencies turn complex property challenges into well-managed, cost-effective solutions.
