Commonstreet’s property management team was sought for the SR 167 project for the purpose of developing response, relocation, and site clean-up for 520 encampments, unhoused people, and hazards along 6 miles of state-owned ROW. The team established multi-agency coordination and facilitated a first-of-its-kind tailored approach solution for homelessness response with WSDOT. Commonstreet’s processes and approach to supporting unhoused populations were adopted by WSDOT as a statewide standard and the success was recognized by the International Right of Way Association, Region 4 as “Project of the Year” in 2024.
